Nexus Tour

In Europe's League of Legends eSport landscape, the Nexus Tour is the most open French competition, with the fewest restrictions on who can take part. But above all, it's where it all begins. It's also the gateway to the EMEA region's top professional divisions.

Famous for being the most inclusive and varied in terms of profiles, levels and objectives, but also for revealing future prodigies, the community and recruiters of the highest-level teams oversee the tournament, live-streamed on twitch.
In this free-for-all of all levels, tomorrow's next star is undoubtedly hiding on the Nexus Tour rift.
The logo, inspired by the symmetrical shape of the summoner's rift, evokes the incarnation of the players as rays of light, like reflections of rough diamonds, coming together at its center to do battle. .

In the League of Legends video game, the bottom left-hand side of the map is referred to as “blue”. While the top right-hand side is considered “red”.
So it made sense to address inclusivity by reappropriating these traditional “blue side” and “red side”, giving them hues that deviated from these primary colors, while preserving their identity and identification. So we made them interchangeable in a clear, natural way.

Diversified, unbalanced, general melee. With all its disparate levels and fierce battles, a typographic treatment has been specially designed to embrace these concepts, with letters crashing into each other to embody the rough, tumble and hellish battle between players, in all its forms. At times bold, at times overwhelming, at other times finer, the imbalance and the impression of a blow being dealt had to be felt. To accompany this bold approach, some headlines and sublines retained their shape to reinforce the concept.

As the competition's universe revolves around the League of Legends video game, the identity is accompanied by 3 illustrations representing its universe, used for playful purposes on communication media.
